The F.O.E. Report 2006-04-02

Fenton sub-report:

Official F.O.E. agent Cindy Danielski (eBay handle thebarkingdog2141), who has extensive knowledge on Fenton products, reviewed 5000 'Fenton' auctions in order ending soonest on April 1st from 9am eastern (6am pacific ebay time) to 1pm eastern. Out of these 5,000 items, 283 were not Fenton at all, which equals 5.66 percent. These items are either simply listed in a wrong category, misidentified or use 'keyword spamming' to misrepresent items.

From those 283 non-Fenton items:

Since most of the newly imported fakes are 'Cranberry', she examined all 396 Fenton 'Cranberry' auctions (without store items):

Out of those 396 auctions, 64 items were non-Fenton (16.16 percent):

Cindy then also looked for 'Fenton style', from the resulting 22 listings including stores, 12 were not Fenton - a whopping 54.54 percent!
